Tools and Hardware Reviews of Senco PC1010 Compressor, 1 Horsepower (PEAK), 1 Gallon

Customer Review: Great little compressor
Summary: 5 Stars

The Senco PC1010 1 gallon compressor was exactly what I was looking for: a light compressor for small jobs. It was between the Senco or purchasing a Paslode cordless. Having the pneumatics already, this was the better choice for me.
The compressor works as expected, popping around 8 to 10 15 g nails before cycling. It won't replace a larger, dedicated compressor but works great for smaller jobs. It weighs about as much as my lunch box!
Very satisfied

Customer Review: Phenomenal! Super-Quiet and Efficient!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been using this little gem of a compressor with my Porter Cable 16ga nailer and although it has to kick in and run more frequently than a bigger unit, it more than keeps up with me on my daylong molding and trim jobs. It is so quiet that you actually don't realize it's running in the house. My Porter Cable pancake compressor is larger and considerably heavier and it's simply way too loud for me to take on smaller jobs instead of this Senco.

Customer Review: stan
Summary: 5 Stars

A small compact compressor that's lightweight easy to handle. For small installation jobs. Now I don't have to lug around my large compressor for a few window or trim mouldings.

Customer Review: For Finish Work, What A Back Saver
Summary: 4 Stars

For many years, I used to lug around a 6 gallon pancake compressor to install trim. Finally, I got wise and invested in this Senco 1 gallon compressor and I've been one happy camper ever since. This compressor is so light and small, that maneuvering it around a house or addition with newly finished walls and floors saves a lot of worry and sweat. For installing new trim in an occupied house that is fully furnished, this compressor is especially valued. Where it's performance suffers is when I'm quickly shooting in 15 or 16 gauge finish nails along a long run of baseboard moulding. Therefore, for production finish work, you may want to consider a higher capacity compressor.

Customer Review: Too small for a trim gun - ok for pins
Summary: 3 Stars

On the plus side, it's small and light - I can one-hand this and the bag with all three of my trim guns. It's also very quiet. Does fine with a pin gun, ok with 1/4" stapler.
This compressor is smaller than I expected and cycles too frequently with 15 ga. trim gun for any kind of production work. You have to plan your work around it. Part of that may be due to the fact that I live at 9000'. I have used it with an air nozzle but that seems to be really pushing it - starts smelling hot. Does perform better than the P/C pancake compressor that I returned. I think for what you're getting it should be cheaper.
As far as running a framing gun off of it, you need your head examined.
