Customer Review: CH RP420050AV -- Great product!

This Campbell Hausfeld lives up to its reputation. First, it is very light weight, and pretty quiet for an AC compressor. Most important, however, is how great it works. Unlike reviews of other pumps, the valve clamp on this product goes on and comes off easily, and with virtually no loss of tire pressure in the process. I have found that setting the dial to 2 lbs above the desired pressue is just about right. It shuts off properly, and a check with an external pressure meter consistently shows the proper tire pressure. Easy to turn on, and easy to turn off and reset if you dial in the wrong pressure. The 120AC power source is much better than a 12volt which plugs into a car's accessory unit that runs off the car's electrical system. In addition to not having to worry about blowing vehicle fuses, and possibly causing a short in the electtical system, this unit is small and is easily carried in the vehicle if desired. Also, an AC unit seems to have greater power and durability. It comes with adapters to inflate rubber rafts, sports equipment, and the like. However, this unit cannot be used to power compressor tools (such a nailers, ratchets, etc).
While this inflater is a bit more expensive than many others, I have found it worth every extra dollar. Bottomline: it is dependable.
